This NOAA satellite image taken Friday, July 22, 2011 at 1:45 a.m. EDT shows Bret and Cindy continue moving northeastward and further away from land.  Tropical  Depression Bret is located about 295 miles northwest of Bermuda.  Bret continues moving northeastward at 14 mph with maximum sustained winds at 35 mph.  Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Cindy is located about  910 miles west-northwest of the Azores and persists on its northeastward track at 28 mph with maximum winds at 50 mph.  Meanwhile in the Central US, a trough of low pressure advances off the Rocky Mountains, and triggers scattered showers and thunderstorms over the Plains.
